Spine-Striped Black Cow Hide Rug – 231 x 209 cm (No. 743)

Spine-striped black cow hide rug, 231 x 209 cm

Deep, inky black covers almost the whole of this cow hide rug, broken only by a narrow white stripe that runs down the spine and a creamy white border along the flanks and the edges of the legs. The contrast is crisp and graphic, yet the large dark field keeps it reading as a bold neutral. The markings sit in a balanced, near-symmetrical layout, so it looks tidy from every side. At 231 x 209 cm, it is large enough to anchor a lounge, sit under a coffee table with the sofa legs resting on it, or define a dining area. Pair it with pale oak floors, white walls, tan leather, raw concrete or industrial steel for a strong monochrome look, or with warm timber and natural linen for a softer, rustic feel.

Caring for your cowhide rug

Shake it out regularly and vacuum in the direction of the hair on low suction. Blot spills straight away with a damp cloth, and keep it out of strong direct sunlight to stop the colours fading.
