Rich chestnut brown runs across the whole body of this cow hide rug, broken up by fine, dark brindle streaks that gather around the shoulders, flanks and hindquarters. A narrow white flash travels down the spine and gives the centre a graceful focal point, while creamy white edges frame the sides and the lower legs. A small black fleck sits on the right flank. The tones stay warm and earthy rather than stark, and the pattern is balanced from left to right. At 219 x 203 cm, it is generous enough to anchor a lounge seating area or sit beneath a coffee table.
