Nguni Hide Rug – Speckled Spine Black, 219 x 181 cm (No. 1002)

Nguni hide rug – speckled spine black, 219 x 181 cm

Deep, inky black covers the shoulders and back of this cow hide rug, broken by a feathered cream streak down the spine that opens into dense black-and-white speckling across the flanks and belly. The contrast is strong and the look is bold, yet the dark centre keeps it grounded. Cream edges flecked with dark brown and black soften the outline, and the markings sit in a roughly mirrored layout on either side. At 219 x 181 cm it suits anchoring a lounge, sitting under a coffee table or defining a reading corner. Pair it with tan leather, warm timber floors, white walls or industrial steel and concrete for a monochrome, earthy look.

Caring for your Nguni hide

Shake it out regularly and vacuum in the direction of the hair on low suction. Blot spills straight away with a damp cloth, and keep it out of strong direct sunlight to stop the colours fading.
