Nguni Hide Rug – Speckled Spine Brown, 208 x 176 cm (No. 994)

Nguni hide rug – speckled spine brown, 208 x 176 cm

Deep, rich chestnut covers most of this cow hide rug, broken by a vertical band of cream speckling that runs down the spine and fans out towards the rump. Brown flecks scatter through the white, so the transition between colours looks soft rather than sharp. Creamy white edges frame both sides and the lower hem, adding a clear border against the dark centre. The markings are close to symmetrical, which gives the hide a balanced, settled look. At 208 x 176 cm, it is large enough to anchor a lounge seating area or sit beside a bed. The warm tones suit tan leather, natural oak, linen upholstery and rustic or farmhouse interiors, and also add earthy depth to a modern space with muted walls.

Caring for your Nguni hide

Shake it out regularly and vacuum in the direction of the hair on low suction. Blot spills straight away with a damp cloth, and keep it out of strong direct sunlight to stop the colours fading.
