Deep espresso tones fill the centre of this Nguni hide, warming to reddish chestnut along a faint spine line and breaking into creamy white speckles around the edges. The dark field is broad and almost solid, so the contrast comes from the flecked borders at the shoulders, flanks and hind legs, plus a few white splashes below the middle. Markings sit fairly evenly on both sides, which gives a balanced, grounded look. At 229 x 193 cm it is generous enough to anchor a lounge or sit under a coffee table.
